About Rhonda Kuykendall-Jabari

Rhonda is a 10-year seasoned Reiki practitioner, attuned to level III (a.k.a. Master/Teacher), Certified Chakra Therapist, Holistic Health Practitioner, Ordained Minister, a gifted Tarot reader and she has a certificate in Physio Spiritual massage. She has a Bachelors Degree in Spiritual Healing and is a gifted intuitive empath.

Rhonda was the featured Reiki guest expert in Allan Moyle's documentary film, "How Sweet It Is: The Movie,"  a fun-filled adventure in which five Type II diabetics attempt to reverse the disease using dietary modifications, fitness and alternative healing methods. She is known for her professionalism, gentle spirit and calm disposition. She is suprisingly non- 'woo-woo.' This is perhaps how she won the role of sole Reiki service provider for the Black Visions of Wellness program, administered by UMMA Clinic and funded by the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health.

With an inherent love and abiding respect for Mother Earth, Father Sky and the power of nature, Rhonda responded to an ancestral calling to be a community and world healer, an ability she believes was inherited from her grandfather, T.J. Champ, a minister of Blackfoot and African American heritage. Knowledge and use of healing herbs, energy and light are second nature. She began her journey as a healer in the 1990's forming and facilitating women's herbal cleansing groups.

In 2005, Rhonda founded Wellness Uprising (WU), a healing practice in Westchester, California where clients find relief from pain, anxiety, insomnia, stress, depression, post traumatic symptoms, energetic imbalances, substance abuse and general health issues. She is a frequent blogger, published writer, and a lifelong student of the healing arts.

Fueled by her passion for empowering others to self-heal, Rhonda develops workshops and classes that are enjoyed by people around the world, including in person and Online Reiki certification programs for beginners and seasoned practitioners. Her mission is to help people discover and access their personal path to whole body healing.

Wellness Uprising promotes revolutionary self-care where you give to, nurture and support yourself before you attempt to nurture, support or care for others.

About Wellness Uprising (WU)

Wellness Uprising (WU) develops programs and services to support balanced development of the whole self -- mind, body, soul and Spirit.

In addition to being an abbreviation for Wellness Uprising, WU refers to the "emptiness" of Taoism; an unoccupied space in the heart or soul where Spirit can do its best work without interference. We've created Reiki, chakra balancing, physio spiritual aromatherapy and Tarot Energy Reading sessions that utilize that space for clients to reconnect with Divine insight, thus empowering them to tap into their own Guidance and come into alignment with the highest vibration for their greatest healing to occur. This is the foundation of revolutionary self-care in which we "give to, nurture and support ourselves before we attempt to nurture, support or care for others."

A visit to Wellness Uprising is an invitation to actively participate in your own healing. You're held accountable for the changes you most desire and responsible for your present life circumstances. Our Practitioners are highly qualified guides and facilitators for this process. We help you listen to and honor your authentic self ... the one who whispers words of wise counsel to your heart and soul in times of need.
