ABOUT CANDLE READINGS
Pyromancy is divination by fire involving reading smoke and flames.
Ceromancia is interpreting the meaning of a burning candle's flame or the melting wax. “Cero” means wax, and “mancia” means divination.
Do not attempt to use pyromancy or ceromancia if you do not believe in magick. Half-hearted attempts to gain information this way will result in incorrect results.
Readings can be done by burning a candle wax and casting it on a flat surface such as dry wood and observing the formed figures after cooling, or by interpreting the meaning of the candle flame. Ceromancia requires concentration in a quiet and peaceful place.
Below are a few examples of how to interpret candle wax and flame.
When reading candles, it's best to use good quality white candles.
Whichever method you use, relax, close your eyes, and ask for what you desire, then open your eyes and analyze the meaning of the wax or flame.
Blue Flame: patience, your request will be answered soon
Rapidly Flickering Flame: concentrate, ask quickly. Be sure to see if there is wind in the environment, which may skew the reading.
Reddish Yellow Flame: your request is being carried out, wait for the next few days.
High Flame: happiness will come soon.
Very Bright Flame: the answer to your question is, "it's going to work."
Lots of Leftover Wax: you are in need of an energy cleaning to dispel negative forces around you.
Spiral Flame: no comment to your desire; there are people around you who wish you harm.
Very Low Flame: review everything. The question needs to be more objective and sincere. If it is a request, it will not manifest right now. Look into all possibilities to resolve the issue yourself.
Split Wick When Extinguished: If you asked a question, ask again another day. If it was a wish, it will come true but probably not in the way you want.
When Candle Takes Too Long to Light: perform energy clearing in the room with incense and prayers. check for air currents that may obstruct lighting.
All the Wax Burns; Flame Extinguishes But Wick Takes Time to Extinguish: your answer is yes. If you made a wish, results will be better than you asked.
When too Much Wax Drips (candle cries): there is a lot of emotion involved or there is very energy from you. Work to increase your energy by having more faith. If you are not 100% committed to the issue, wait for another day.
When Sparks Fly From Flame: before your wish comes true, there will be an obstacle, a problem or intrigue. Someone may appear to help, but do not stand idly by.
INTERPRETING FLAME DIRECTION
North: If the flame flickers toward the north, it's said to be an indication that the cause is a physical one, not from a spirit.
East: A flame flickering toward the east indicates the mental part of your spell is working.
South: The bending of the flame toward the south demonstrates a great deal of physical energy surrounds your intent.
West: When the candle flame tilts to the west, it reveals the depth and energy of very strong emotions that are part of the spell work.
