THRESHOLD PROTECTION SPELL

Use this spell to create a protective perimeter around your home. This spell is most powerful during a waning moon phase. Start with a good house cleaning, including a magickal front porch wash. The purpose is to invite and welcome positive energy while also blocking negative or disruptive energy. I like to refresh protection spells at least twice yearly.

ITEMS NEEDED

• 1 tbs. carrier oil

• 3 pinches salt

• 1 whole clove

• 1 sage smudge bundle

WHAT TO DO

• Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Mix using the tips of your fingers.

• Starting at the back of the house, light the smudge bundle an draft the smoke around the doorframe.

• Using your fire finger, dip into the oil mixture and trace a line in the air around the doorframe.

• Dip into the oil again. This time, touch the lower right corner of the doorframe and trace around to the lower left corner.

• If your door has a lintel, dip your fingers into the oil again and touch the center of the lintel. Draw a line in the air down the middle of the doorway.

• Say:

No evil or illness may cross this threshold.

I hereby bar it from entering.

My home is sacred and protected.

• Repeat these steps as you move clockwise around the house, enchanting every doorway and window.
