finding space
Physical comfort is important to your participants, so find a venue where there is enough space for students to lie down. You will find that some people are unable to lie flat, or are uncomfortable, but most will lie down. For others, make sure there is comfortable seating available. There should be easy access to toilets. If possible, find a space that allows you to burn candles, incense, etc. If your venue does not allow burning, purchase or make a high frequency spray mist. This will allow you to clear and cleanse any negative energy in the space, plus, participants will begin to immediately calm down when they enter a space that smells of sage, Palo Santo, or some other cleansing incense or mist.
Have alkaline or spring water available for your participants.
equipment needed
3 white candles (optional)
1 clear quartz crystal to transmit any negative energy released during the session
Mats or comfortable seating for each participant (you can ask individuals to bring their own)
Pillow and blankets (optional)
Incense, white sage, or high frequency spray mist
Scented candles or high vibration spray mists (optional)
Student handouts
Any related items you would like to sell after the session
iPod, phone or laptop for playing music
Speaker (optional)
what to do
Arrive early to set the mood in the space. The goal is to have students walk into an environment where the vibrations are already high. Start by clearing the space using incense or white sage.
Walk counterclockwise around the room and clap or make other abrupt noise in each corner to loosen stagnant energy.
Once negative energy is loosened, walk clockwise around room with white sage incense or smudge stick. Say to yourself or aloud, “I transmute all negative energy to the light.”
Lay out mats in an organized manner and light candles around the room.
Start the music so that it is playing when students arrive.
As students enter the space, remind them to turn off cell phones, visit the bathroom, and have a small drink of water.
You are now ready to begin your group chakra balancing and healing session.
Ask attendees to sit comfortably.
Tell your group which chakra you will address on that day. Tell them that you will guide them through a breath meditation, followed by a chakra healing meditation for the chakra of the week.
Give students the weekly handouts.
Discuss the chakra of the week and talk about its location, color, organs, and signs of imbalance.
Quickly review the mandala for the chakra of the week.
Invite questions, comments, and shares.
Pass around the essential oil bottle for the chakra of the week. Caution students to use only one drop if it resonates. If not, that’s okay.
Instruct students to rub palms together to activate the oil.
Let them know that they have a handout that includes the properties of the oil, plus suggests two others.
Have students review and complete the Affirmations handout. Let them know that this does not need to be shared; it’s a tool to help them tap into how they may best benefit from today’s session.
Have the students complete the Student Worksheet handout. Let them know that this does not need to be shared; it’s a tool to help them tap into how they may best benefit from today’s session.
Invite Q and A and comments.
When everyone is settled, turn on the music if you haven’t already done so.
Instruct students who have opted to use the essential oil for that day’s chakra to cup their hands over their nose and inhale deeply three times.
Ask everyone to sit or lie down in a comfortable position and close their eyes; you will now begin their meditation.
Run breath meditation.
Run chakra healing meditation.
Do a grounding exercise after the session. You can do this simply by saying:
Our healing is now complete. Let’s bring ourselves back to the present moment, in this sacred space. Visualize two strong silver lines like tree roots, pulling you back into the room. As you connect with your roots into the earth, about six inches beneath the ground, feel yourself becoming alert and awake. Open your eyes when you are ready, and wiggle your fingers and toes to awaken your body. Sit quietly for just a few minutes allowing all that has happened to remain with you.
Walk around the room to check on everyone and make sure they have come back. If there are still some with eyes closed, say gently:
“Open your eyes when you are ready, come back into the present.”
If you have a high vibration spray mist, now is a good time to walk around the room, lightly misting into the auras of your students. This also helps them to ground by activating their smell receptors and clearing their auric fields.
Ask everyone to sit up and be present. Ask them how they feel, if they enjoyed the experience, and if they have any brief comments.
Thank everyone for coming and remind them to take their phones off mute.
