Do you

In your dealings with Spirit, discard your measuring devices. Do not be concerned with who walks more closely with Him, who worships and prays as much or in the same way as you, who is the better believer or follower, who is more or less worthy of Her love. Toss that scale and invest in a mirror. Hold it up and look for Divine light within your own soul. Think of ways to restore and build upon your own relationship with The Creator. Don't worry about what someone else is or isn't doing. God's got this!

Co-creating with Spirit

Meditation facilitates clear reception of messages from God/Source/The Universe. Mindful prayer relays your heartfelt messages to God/Source/The Universe. Reiki clears the channels through which we communicate with God/Source/The Universe. State of mind determines the nature of these communications and what results they bring forth in the material world. These are cornerstones of enlightenment and a heightened ability to live on purpose and activate the Law of Attraction to co-create your desires. Use them often and wisely.

Field of energy

Everyone has access to and is part of the same Field of Energy, which can be used to create or destroy; to heal or harm; in acts of love or fear.

Do this exercise to experience your connection to Source:

Rub your palms together for 20 seconds. Stop and hold them, facing each other, 8-10 inches apart. Slowly move them toward one another. At some point, you will feel energy, like an invisible rubber ball or like magnets between your hands. If you move your hands away from each other and back toward each other again, this ball of energy expands. This is the Ki, Chi, Prana, Life Force, reiki that connects us to the universal Field of Energy.

This energy is a shared source, connecting everything -- living and inanimate -- which is impacted by everything we do, think, say or feel. Everything we think, say and feel about others is attracted to our personal Field of Energy. In other words, as soon as we say it or think it or do it to someone else, we create it for ourselves. If hatred, judgments, jealousy, envy, prejudice, fear or pettiness lives in the mind and/or heart, it becomes our contribution to the universal Field of Energy, where everyone is creating something every moment of every day, with their true intentions. When it's all said and done, we're all drinking from the same water trough. Whatever we put out there is what we create for ourselves.

Think about yesterday ... what did you contribute to the universal Field of Energy? How do you feel about it? What will you create with your beliefs, thoughts, words, actions, feelings, breath of life today and every day?

Unfinished business

"Two things rob people of their peace of mind: work not finished and work not yet begun."

Everything is energy and energy is everything. Each time we make a request in deed, thought or spoken word, an energy portal opens, granting access to the outcome we desire. This is the universe saying, "it is done." These portals beckon us to step into alignment with the  energy of what has been asked. By heeding the call, we actualize the things for which we've prayed. However, if we ignore or lose interest in the fulfillment of the request by trying to move on in pursuit of new goals and projects, the pull of the unfinished business becomes an obstacle.

Over time, each abandoned prayer tethers you to an energy that is waiting for your attention and action. It has been harvested in your name and waits for release, which is triggered when you come into alignment with the flow. If you habitually leave things unfinished, you will find yourself pulled in many thousands of different directions; every article of unworn clothing, each unused item and unread book, your incomplete goals and abandoned hopes and dreams. The constant fight against the flow is exhausting; it drains energy needed to move life forward. Eventually, the pull is so great that we become stuck --- unable to muster enough life force to address simple, day-to-day issues. Creativity is blocked and blessings are slow-coming as they fight their way through the tangled web of stagnant energy. There are only two ways to release this energy so it may return to the universal flow and be used for good; (1) complete the work that will bring you into alignment with the flow, or (2) consciously withdraw your request by announcing and accepting that you release any and all attachments to the person, place or thing

There are many release rituals that you can use. Take a moment to search for one that resonates with you. Watch for Wellness Uprising release ritual workshops. In the meantime, take determined steps to finish your unfinished business.

Essential oils, God's original medicine

Essential oils are to plants what blood and oxygen are to humans. The scientific name is "oleo-gum-resins." Comprised of tiny molecules, essential oils travel easily through plant tissue and into the cells. They deliver nutrition information and carry waste products out. Just as hormones regulate growth in the human body, essential oils regulate growth in plant organisms. Like enzymes that boost the human immune system and combat germs and disease, essential oils are the basis for a plant's immune system. Scientists at Tufts University developed a scale for the US Department of Agriculture called the ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity) score. The ORAC score tells us the ability of a particular food or oil to destroy free radicals. The higher the ORAC score, the greater the ability to retard aging and prevent cancer and other diseases. Interestingly, ORAC scores for essential oils are often much higher than those for super foods.

Essential oils were used in healing practices by ancient Egyptians and Chinese for thousands of years before Christ. The Ebers Papyrus dates back to 1500 B.C. and mentions 876 medicines, mostly botanical. In 430 B.C. during the Peloponnesian War, Sparta attacked Athens leaving the city rife with famine and plague. Hippocrates, known today as the father of medicine, fumigated the city with aromatic oils to kill germs and stop the spread of the plague.

The Free Dictionary by Farlex defines anoint as follows: to put oil on during a religious ceremony as a sign of sanctification or consecration. The act of anointing in the Bible signifies that the person or object was devoted or set apart to the worship or service of God.  Anointing is mentioned 156 times in the Bible and, depending on who you ask, oils are mentioned over 1,000 times.

Used properly, healing oils are non-toxic, harmless to human tissue and promote healing, unlike synthetic and chemical medicines. One healing aspect of essential oils is their ability to penetrate the Blood-Brain-Barrier. This makes an argument for the efficacy of aromatherapy. In aromatherapy, essential oils enter through the olfactory system, cross the Blood-Brain-Barrier and work with the Central Nervous System to promote healing. They communicate with a part of the brain that cannot be communicated to with spoken or written language. It only comprehends and responds to smell.

In Healing Oils of the Bible, author David Stewart, Ph.D. writes this about oils: "Because they are direct creations of God's word (Genesis 1:11-12), when properly applied in a prayerful way, they possess the divine intelligence to know how to do what is beneficial and to avoid doing that which may bring harm."

The list of essential oils below represents part of Dr. Stewart's Principal Oils of Ancient Scripture. For a complete list and to to learn more about this subject, click here to purchase a copy of Healing Oils of the Bible. Click the names of the oils to view their healing properties.
