ABOUT THE NEW MOON
The new moon, also referred to as the crescent moon, is visible when the moon is in direct alignment between the earth and the sun. It is a time of initiation, making it an ideal for executing a project, launching a business or idea, or to publicizing something you wish to attract increase. This is a time for making positive changes, so seek to increase cash flow, create new business opportunities, plant metaphorical seeds to be harvested later, travel, and start new love relationships.

ABOUT THE WAXING MOON
The waxing moon, also called the first quarter moon, occurs 3-4 days immediately before the full moon. If your spell needs energy to grow, this is the moon phase for you. Creativity, luck, courage, health, finances, balance, love and motivation can all thrive if you know how to leverage a waxing moon. Its energy supports the building of spiritual and magickal power in anticipation of the full moon, which is the most powerful moon phase.
The waxing moon is a time for meditation, breath work, transmutation of anxiety into power, and preparing and planning for full moon rites. This energy is also good for minor rites and rituals, and setting short-term goals.
ABOUT THE FULL MOON
Normally, the full moon is the recommended time for carrying out all rituals for divination, prophecy and protection. Anything that is in one’s life that needs additional power like healing for a severe ailment, getting a new job and so on should be conducted during the full moon phase. The other spells that should be cast at this time include legal undertakings, love, money, knowledge and dreams. The full moon occurs 14 to 17.5 days from the new moon. The phase is when the moon appears in its full brilliance and is the ideal time for security spells.
ABOUT THE WANING MOON
After the full moon peaks, we enter the waning half of the lunar cycle. Waning energies are about decrease —- energies repel rather than attract. This is a good time to rid yourself of things that no longer serve you. Minor banishing are successful during this moon phase. It’s a good time for general cleansing and upkeep of personal spaces like home, garden, or your office cable. Cleanse any personal objects during the waning moon like jewelry or magical tools. Think of this more like routine dusting —- there is no major build-up, you’re just trying to keep things clear to prevent problems.
The waning moon is a good time for spells and rituals to bring both an ending to or put a period on like a business venture you’d like to end, or a relationship that is no longer fulfilling.
As for meditations or divinations, rather than looking to the future to on to new. things, use this time for introspection. Where have your previous attitudes and actions brought you? What things in your life have affected you the most? Are you happy with where you are? Do you need to make any attitude or behavior adjustments?
