RITUAL TO BOOST YOUR CONFIDENCE

This ritual is for when you need a boost of confidence. Perhaps you have to speak in front of a group, or are going for an important interview. Maybe you are doing something for the first time and want to make a good impression. Whatever your scenario, this ritual will help steady your nerves and boost your self-esteem.

  • 1 orange spell candle

  • Ginger essential oil

WHAT TO DO

  • Anoint candle with ginger essential oil.

  • Light candle and chant while staring into the flame and say:

A clear head and a smart mind. I leave nerves behind. With good ideas and sharp eyes. Nothing will take me by surprise.

  • Repeat the chant at least 8 times; more if you feel so inclined.

  • Allow the candle to burn all the way down.

BLESSING BATH RECIPE & RITUAL

ITEMS NEEDED

  • 1 quart of Himalayan salt or Epsom salt

  • Juice of 2 freshly squeezed lemon

  • 1/2 cup of sesame oil

  • 4 drops each of lavender and jasmine oils

WHAT TO DO

  • Place salt in a large bowl.

  • Add lemon juice, sesame oil, and essential oils.

  • Stir until well mixed.

  • When your tub is 1/3 full, add 1/4 of the salt mixture under the faucet. Inhale deeply.

  • Say these words:

Remove from me anything impure of heart, spirit, and mind. My wish is to once again become whole, free of pain and sadness, and filled with all that is better in me.

  • When the tub is full, step inside and repeat the prayer. Use the rest of the salt to gently massage your body.

RESUME AND JOB SEARCH BLESSING

When we are fired or 'laid off' a job, it is normal to go into panic mode for a short time. The impulse is to grab at any and all job openings --- hoping for a hit. But loss of a job (expected or unexpected) is a powerful catalyst for change and a magickal opportunity to lead your life in the direction of your dreams. Take a pause and think about what you truly feel you are supposed to be doing with your life.

What occupation makes you tingle all over and smile? Now, rewrite your resume with that in mind. Set an intention as you would with any manifesting ritual or spell. When it's letter perfect, give it a boost with this blessing.

Items Needed

  • Job's Tears seeds (3)

  • Apple

  • Pecan

  • Sugar

  • Copper pot

  • Spray bottle

  • Yellow or golden cord

  • A smooth stone

what to do

  • Fill the pot with water and bring it to a boil.

  • Add 7 tbs. sugar and stir clockwise until completely dissolved

  • The pot should be steaming. Being careful not to burn yourself, place your face NEAR (NOT IN) the steam and gently blow. This will create a clockwise spinning little tornado over the water.

  • Say these words:

Sweet breath, sweet steam. Now you work for me. I send you up and out, and give you Tears of three.

  • Put the seeds in your right hand and hold them over the steam. Say:

Bless this sweet water, hear my call. I’m high above the rest (lift your right hand with the seeds), more worthy than them all.

  • Remove the pot from the stove.

  • Chop or crush the pecan and apple together to form a paste.

  • Slowly add the sugar water until the paste is smooth.

  • If you use sigils, draw one on the stone and speak your intention into the stone.

  • Take the paste and the stone outside and cover it completely with the paste. Use all of the paste. This will attract hard working, industrious ants to come and carry off your intention to the world.

  • Save the remainder of the water and add it to a spray bottle.

  • Print your resume and place the Job's Tears in the center.

  • Fold the resume 3 times vertically, then 3 times horizontally to create a pouch containing the seeds.

  • Use the cord to wrap the pouch --- like a little package.

  • Spritz the pouch 3 more times.

  • Keep the pouch with you as a talisman until you get the job you want.

FEET BLESSING RECIPE & RITUAL

In my youth, foot care was limited to an occasional pedicure which may or may not have included a foot massage. Beyond that, my feet did not get a second thought. Yet, they continued to support, balance, and stabilize my entire physical existence. They took beating after beating after beating, and never failed to do their job. Then it happened, I got older and my feet grew tired of the abuse. They began to complain and grumble and, occasionally, toss me to the ground in frustration. I finally got the message.

Whenever something or someone gives and gives and gives, it is spiritually and energetically inappropriate to take and take and take without expressing gratitude.

I have learned to engage in body-speak. The body speaks to us all the time. Pain, pleasure, physical reactions, and sensations are a language. Years ago, at the ripe old age of 55, I began to listen and respond to what my feet were trying to say. Here is my twice monthly foot blessing to thank my feet for helping me to walk in balance, support my knees hips and spine, and for ambulating me from place to place.

ITEMS NEEDED

  • 1 tbls. fractionated coconut oil (moisturizes, carries essential oils into the cells)

  • 30 d. melaleuca essential oil (anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, helps athleet's foot fungus)

  • 30 d. tangerine or sweet orange essential oil (cleans, purifies, uplifts the spirit)

  • 1/3 cup of fine salt - sea salt, epsom salt, Himalayan salt -- nearly any will suffice (exfoliate, detoxifier)

  • Clean water and 3 tbls. of Florida water in a basin for rinsing the feet. Florida water removes negative energy and supports the release of pent up emotions.

WHAT TO DO

  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl or jar to form a paste.

  • Apply this mixture to your feet with your hands, taking time and special care to massage the entire surface of your feet.

  • Spend time on areas where dead skin has accumulated.

  • While massaging, give thanks for all the hard work your feet do for you everyday.

  • Your feet have 26 bones and 33 joints each. Try to touch and move and massage each one.

  • When done, rinse your feet in a basin of clean water infused with Florida water. Imagine the water in the basin is rinsing away all the unwanted residue you've loosened and released with your foot massage.

  • Give thanks and pour the rinsing water down the drain.

Are you experiencing slow-moving results in your magickal work? Are you stuck in a situation from which you'd like to move on? Maybe it’s time to light a fire under someone’s (ahem). Cinnamon, cayenne pepper and ginger are three spicy herbs known to activate and stimulate the fire element in the earth realm. Sometimes, when things get stuck or 'frozen' in place, a little fiery encouragement helps to loosen and release energy.

  • Powdered Cinnamon

  • Powdered Cayenne Pepper

  • Powdered Ginger

  • Small glass mixing bowl

  • Cauldron or other fireproof bowl

  • Charcoal disk

  • Wooden spoon

WHAT TO DO

  • These are very hot spices so take care not to inhale or get in eyes.

  • Mix one tablespoon of each herb in a glass bowl. Stir gently with a wooden spoon.

  • Ignite charcoal in a fireproof bowl or dish or abalone shell (on a stand).

  • Spoon mixed herbs onto the hot disk and allow to burn.

  • Stomp on the earth and command aloud:

MOVE

  • This is a ritual you can repeat daily or weekly until your situation is resolved.

DISTANCE HEALING RECIPE & SPELL FOR FAMILY MEMBER

This ritual requires some specialized herbs which may or may not already be in your arsenal. Please don't skimp.

It is best performed at your altar, especially if it's an ancestral altar, but it can work even if you work away from an altar. Also, if you are a Reiki Practitioner, this ritual can empower a distance Reiki healing when performed with the permission of the recipient. As a stand alone, this ritual can be effective even if you do not have the permission of the recipient.

ITEMS NEEDED

  • Envelope

  • Piece of paper

  • Dried herbs (angelica, burdock, galangal, horehound, elder, lavender, lemon balm, mandrake root, rose, rue, sassafras, yellow dock)

  • Fire proof vessel

  • Matches or a lighter

WHAT TO DO

  • Fold a piece of paper and place in an envelope. On the envelope write the word "health." Next write the name of the person.

  • Add the dried herbs to the envelope.

Chant:

I charge these herbs to aid my spell, that (name) will be well. That by free will (name) will be blessed, with health and happiness. I ask The Creator to hear my call, for the highest and greatest good of all.

  • Pass the envelope through your altar candle and light it afire. Focus on the smoke and visualize the energy blowing with the smoke toward the person in need. Allow the envelope to burn completely.

Chant:

I call upon the breath of wind, empowered by the spirit of air, to carry my spell to my kin, and gracefully deliver it there. By all the power of three times three, this spell bound around shall be, to cause no harm nor return to me, as I do will, so mote it be.

COMMUNICATION JAR SPELL

This spell is for when you would like to create clearer, more positive, less restrictive, and/or honest communication with someone.

  • Start by writing the name of the person you want to communicate with on two separate pieces of paper.

  • Fill a clean, clear jar with a handful of dried or fresh sage leaves and salt.

  • Place the two pieces of paper inside the jar.

  • Leave the lid off and the jar open.

  • Gently, swirl contents around in jar until both pieces of paper are covered. While swirling, visualize yourself having an honest and productive conversation with the person.

  • Leave the jar open in the area you are likely to engage the person, or remove the slips of paper, fold them together, and keep them tucked inside your pocket during your conversations.

BINDING JAR SPELL #2

Is there someone you wish to place restrictions on to keep them from causing harm to self or others? Try this binding ritual. Note that this may or may not work on a witch, especially if they suspect you are manipulating energy against them, but I've found it to work in varying degrees on most non-witchy folks.

ITEMS NEEDED

  • Glass jar with lid

  • Photograph of the person, or personal items belonging to the person

  • 1 white ribbon

  • Sea salt

  • Canning wax

WHAT TO DO

  • If you are a Reiki Practitioner, this is the perfect time to invoke Hon Sha Ze sho Nen (HSZSN) for added power. Draw or visualize the symbol and say HSZSN 3 times. If you are not attuned to HSZSN, this spell will still work.

  • Wrap the white ribbon around the photo, tying 9 knots. As you are wrapping see the person departing unharmed and in peace.

  • Say:

I bind you (their name). You are bound from causing harm to yourself or anyone else.

  • Continue to repeat these words until the photo is completely wrapped.

  • If you are a Reiki Practitioner, send Cho Ku Rei (CKR) to the glass jar. Draw or visualize the symbol and say CKR 3 times. Place the photo or item in the glass jar.

  • Say:

I hold you with all the power of the great MotherFatherGoddess (or other omnipotent being of your belief).

  • Pour sea salt into the glass jar, making sure the entire photo is covered.

  • Melt the wax and pour a few drops on top of the salt and say:

I bind you from causing harm to yourself or anyone else.

  • Seal the container and bury it in the north end of your yard.

  • Give thanks to the universe for supporting this work in the name of peace and love.

  • Tell no one what you have done.
